Annoying message: "Buffer XXX does not end in a newline. Add one? (y or n)"

I just upgraded to Fedora Core 3 which installed Emacs 21.3-17. Now,
whenever I try to save a buffer that doesn't end in a newline, I get
the following error message:

Buffer XXX does not end in a newline. Add one? (y or n)

Is there any way to turn this message off?

Thanks,

David

See
require-final-newline

I don't think the annoyance is in the message, it's with the files.

Other editors would let this got by unnoticed. Now at least you know
of the potential problem.

Best regards,

Adrian
